Lucky, oil on panel, 12x16", 2025.
In May, I found a four-leaf clover in my friend Marisa’s yard. She placed it in water for me, and to my surprise, it began to grow roots. I later moved it to this larger glass to continue propagating into a plant. Together, the two create a beautiful play of color and light in the sun.
This piece symbolizes the quiet strength of growth; the often unseen roots that anchor us while we reach toward the light. It’s also hope that I can create a four-leaf clover plant, not just for myself, but to share the luck with others.
(This glass is from Sugahara and it's called the Duo. Painted with their permission.)
