Avocado Halves, oil on heavy paper, 9x12", June 2024.
This was assignment #1 from a still life painting class I took. It took around 4 hours to make, not counting the time I spent cutting open avocados to find the right one and then posing the halves. (Shown here low-res, watermarked, and Glazed for the internet.) I love how much the colors pop on a white plate with a black background!
